I want to be a conduit of Gods healing. I know that this takes faith. I also know, as you do, that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So I am asking you to join me as I take a look again at what God says about healing so that we will not waiver and will be ready as we are asked to pray, for ourselves or others.

Lets look again at one of God’s names:

In  Exodus 15:25-26 we read :

25So he (Moses) cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast itinto the waters, the waters were made sweet.

There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them, and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I amthe LORD who heals you.”

There it is; God reveals himself as Jehovah-Rophefor the first time to his covenant people.

God’s word is like medicine. When you take his word you are taking in health. You can believe in healing and not receive it. Just like I believed in prosperity and recited the verses but had a shrinking bank account. To receive you have to believe, to believe we have to read and meditate on God’s Word. We have to continuously feed on His words of life, health, and healing. The Lord spoke to my heart a couple of weeks ago as I called out to Him for yet another’s recent cancer diagnosis. I told him I wasn’t ready, I hadn’t studied enough. He said, just as you believed for prosperity and called out to me declaring my promises for provision and believed before you receivedit that it would be yours so it is with healing. It is that simple : Hide my word in your heart and believe it and declare it.

There are so many scriptures that promise healing to go a long with the name of God.

Psalm 103

1Bless the LORD, O my soul;

And all that is within me, blessHis holy name!

2Bless the LORD, O my soul,

And forget not all His benefits:

3Who forgives all your iniquities,

 Who heals all your diseases

Isaiah 58:8

English Standard Version (ESV)

Then shall your light break forth like the dawn,

andyour healing shall spring up speedily;

your righteousness shall go before you;

the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.

Isaiah 53:5

But he was pierced for our transgressions;

he was crushed for our iniquities;

upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,

and with his wounds we are healed.

NOTE – The last part of this verse,“by His stripes we are healed,”is not talking about spiritual healing, as some have taught, but definite physical healing. God does not “heal” a human spirit, he recreates it. He does however, heal our bodies and minds. This clearly shows that your healing was paid for at the cross!

Know That When You Ask The Lord For Healing, It Is Already His Will And He Hears You And He Agrees. Know He Has Already Settled It In The Atonement Of The Blood Of Jesus Christ

Psalm 30:2

O Lord my God, I cried to you for help,

and you have healed me.

Psalm 107:19-20“Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Matthew 7:7-8“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”NOTE – The word “ask” in the Greek has the meaning of insistent asking with a knowing of what belongs to the one making the request.Presenting a solid requisitionto God, knowing He longs to distribute what He has to the one in need.

I John 5:14-15“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”NOTE The Word of God is the will of God. If you can find it in the Word of God then you can be assured that it is the will of God. The Lord is not trying to keep healing from you, He is trying to get it to you – Just Believe!

Healing is not just for us, we are to bring it to others. We are told to lay hands on the sick and they will recover. . The enemy will always tell us they won’t be healed and that we can’t do anything. But we don’t have to do anything but obey, God heals not us!

James 5:14-15

Amplified Bible (AMP)

14 Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name.

15 And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

I am a spiritual guide to others and so are you, so we have just qualified!

In Matthew 4:23 we see Jesus, our mentor, healing all kinds of diseases

23And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseaseamong the people

All kinds, the same healing power that healed me when I had a heart attack, that healed me when I had migraines, that healed my fruit intolerance, that healed my son’s intolerance to all complex protein when he was 2, that healed him after breaking his neck and being totally paralyzed, that same healing power will heal the cancer, the blocked artery, the cause of emotional pain that we don’t understand. Remember the memorial stones! There is power in the testimony.

In  Mark 16, in what is often referred to as the Great Commission, we are told to lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

In James 5:16b we read:

The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

This is dunamis (dynamite)  power we are told about in Ephesians 1, the power that God used to raise Christ from the dead.

Ephesians 1: 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,

This is the power available. Jesus gave you authority to use this very power. He gave us the authority to speak and command but we have to know it and declare it.

So what are we to do when the bad news comes?

We are to take up the name of Jehovah Rophe and keep our eyes focused on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith

We are to pray for those who are sick and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord

We are to follow our mentor, Jesus example and pray for the healing of all diseases

We are to Pray for the sick expecting God to raise them up. He is the same God who raised Christ, the same God that worked miracles through the hands of Jesus, the same God with the same power available for us today. The same yesterday, today and forever.
