Grace and Peace to each of you my dear brothers and sisters! As I sit to write this letter I realize it has been a while since I have written you all. I want you to know that even though it’s been some time, you have always remained very much in my thoughts and prayers.
Fortunately I have been able to speak with many of you directly! Some have faced bigger challenges than others during these trying times. Praise God that as we seek shelter in the secret place of the most high, He always hears and answers our prayers. He says in Is.43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.” Amen to that, right?! I read a funny but also wise message the other day that said, “I asked Jesus why He was taking me through troubled waters?” He answered, “Because your enemies can’t swim” 😀
We all know the story of the Israelites and their escape from the Egyptians. They were facing the great Red Sea! The enemy was in hot pursuit! Their only hope was through the deep waters. Do you think the stress, anxiety, doubt and unbelief was at a max? I think it’s safe to guess that it was. But guess what? Even the elderly, they ALL crossed safely to the other side. When the enemy followed, the waters closed over them and they all drowned. Not one Egyptian swam to safety. The force was too great! God’s Word said, “When you pass through the waters”… Not if, but When… Will you trust Him? Will I trust Him? He is always with us Brothers and Sisters, He will never leave us!
I am finding the longer I serve Him the sweeter He grows, the more I trust Him and surrender my ways, the sooner things improve and my prayers get answered. He always hears every prayer and He always answers.
I really want to encourage each of you and tell you to press on, the best is yet to come! You are doing good and you will make it. We all will. Jesus tells us in 2 Chron. 7:14 “that if my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land”… Let us pray Brothers and Sisters, without ceasing, let us seek him In Jesus mighty name.
I would like to invite you to check out the rest of our website. Joshua continues to add new podcasts of his Dad’s teaching. Ed’s teachings were and still are so helpful and encouraging because they are focused and founded in God’s Word, and show us how to apply it to our daily lives. They are very much like books I have gotten recently. Our dear Sister in the Lord Irene Blomgren also has some excellent teachings and testimonies on here as well. So please check it out! I also want to encourage you to please write to us and send any prayer requests and needs; as well as your testimonies of what God is doing in your life! We need each other in all these things.
As a parting note; I want to invite you to join us on our morning prayer, conference call! It is every weekday Monday through Friday at 8:00 AM Pacific Standard time. My prayer partner Mary and I have been doing this for about 25 years. It lasts about 20 minutes. It’s a great way to start the day. We learn from one another continually and God has blessed all of us abundantly through our morning prayer and fellowship. The testimonies and answers to prayer are so encouraging. The number is: 1-716-427-1337 code is: 213864#
I look forward to hearing some new voices! I pray God’s best for each of you throughout the year. Thank you for all your prayers and support and God bless you until we chat again!
Your Loving Sister in Christ, Colleen
